Workplace Pride Welcomes LGBTI Activists from Eight Countries

Post Date: February 13, 2018

After a successful session in August, on February 2nd, Workplace Pride took part in the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “Dutch Visitors Programme (DVP)” and welcomed eight LGBTI activists from Bangladesh, China, Colombia, Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Ukraine, and Russia.

The aim of the programme is for the visitors to establish a personal bond with our country by increasing knowledge of, insight into and personal contacts with Dutch society.

In an informal setting Angelique Meul, Gemeente Amsterdam, and Anthony Hodge, Randstad, were invited to speak about how they are personally, as well as their respective organizations are engaged with LGBTI inclusion at work.

The afternoon ended with a lively discussion where experiences were shared and plans were formed for future collaborations.

Workplace Pride is looking forward to the next DVP session and support the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in ‘creating Dutch Ambassadors’ on the topic of LGBTI inclusion at work.
