DEAR READER,

The preparation of the past few months is beginning to pay off! We have re-vamped our website to make it easier to get the information you need, and have launched the 2017 Global Benchmark Survey to help organizations measure their global LGBT policies and practices.

Unfortunately, LGBTI people in the world continue to have wake-up calls. Here in the Netherlands, one of the most advanced countries in the world for LGBTI rights, two men were brutally beaten for holding hands in public, while in Chechnya, a number of men have been killed and many imprisoned for being gay.

Nonetheless, progress continues! We’re pleased to welcome Ahold-Delhaize as the newest member of the Foundation and are launching a new program ‘Tech@WorkplacePride’ to encourage interaction among technically-focused LGBTI among our members.

Happy reading!

Tech@WorkplacePride Program to launch

From engineers to IT professionals, technically-oriented people are sometimes more introverted. Their roles deal with complicated topics that make interaction with colleagues and clients more challenging. For LGBTI technical people this is even more the case.
With this in mind, Workplace Pride is launching a new program “Tech@WorkplacePride” that gives LGBTI a unique environment in which they can truly be themselves.
