Post Date: October 13, 2017
On National Coming Out Day, October 11th, Workplace Pride organized its 6th Leadership Awards Gala to recognise organizations and people that visibly contribute to the inclusion of LGBT people at the workplace.

This year, the black-tie event was held in the beautiful Posthoornkerk in Amsterdam. Host of the evening, Irene Hemelaar, entertained the 165 guests from various member organizations, with a selection of ‘Cabaret” songs throughout the evening.

A fantastic new award had been designed for the occasion, by the Argentinian artist couple Nell and Domingo Politi. And the winners of the 2017 Leadership Awards are:

Most Engaged Network – Nuon

Most Effective Ally – Anka Mulder (TU Delft)

Best Media Representation – Philips

Most Active Volunteer – Joanna Semeniuk (ING)

In addition to honouring these individuals and organizations, the 2017 Global Benchmark Survey top scoring Ambassadors and Advocates were announced.

The Advocates, being IBM, Dow, Shell and Accenture scored higher than 90% on the curve, while the Ambassadors Cisco, ING, KPN, PostNL, Sodexo and UWV each scored higher than 66.6%.
