Workplace Pride March

PRIDE MARCH – JULY 27, 2024 – AMSTELVELD TO VONDELPARK
On Saturday, July 27, we will open Pride Amsterdam again with a March to the Vondelpark. This time we will meet at 11:00 am on the Amstelveld. A historic place where in 1977 the International Lesbian Alliance organized the start of the first Dutch Pride March ever. At 12:00 we walk via Utrechtsestraat, Rembrandtplein, Reguliersdwarsstraat and Leidsestraat to the Vondelpark for a day filled with sports, games, performances and a pink market.
The Pride Amsterdam Foundation was the organiser of the annual Pride Walk from 2012 to 2022. For the first four years we organised this in collaboration with the Homomonument. Due to the success and growth, a special committee was established in 2016 and several organisations were invited to be part of it. The chairman of the Zero Flags Foundation was asked to take the lead. In 2023, at the request of the municipality, we outsourced the organisation of the Pride Walk to the Queer Pride Amsterdam Foundation.
With a view to WorldPride in 2026 and to avoid confusion, we call our walk a Pride March.
