Although meaningful progress has been made for LGBTIQ+ people in the workplace, many LGBTIQ+  professionals still face discrimination, harassment, and discomfort in the workplace. Everybody’s experience is unique and different. Personal attributes such as gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation influence how people are perceived or treated in the workplace. How about other attributes such as race and ethnicity? In the next members exchange session, our members will share their unique challenges that they face in the workplace. Participants will have an opportunity to learn the negative impacts of multiple minority stress. The session will also focus on how to be active allies to support LGBTIQ+ colleagues who may experience multiple minority stress.

These sessions are designed to be informal and to bring members together to share experience, to learn from one another, and to build connections for future collaboration. Feel free to invite other employees from your organization to listen in.
