Symposium on LGBTIQ+ Workplace Inclusion

Hosted in collaboration with Workplace Pride, this symposium brings together scholars, practitioners, and organizational leaders to explore the latest insights and practices in LGBTIQ+ workplace inclusion. The event combines academic presentations, practitioner perspectives, and opportunities for exchange and collaboration.

Unlock the power of inclusivity at this year’s LGBTIQ+ Workplace Inclusion Symposium, featuring keynote presentations by Prof.dr. Luke Fletcher (Manchester Metropolitan University, UK) and Prof.dr. Jojanneke van der Toorn (Leiden University, NL) delving into the latest cutting-edge research on LGBTIQ+ inclusion.

In addition to the keynotes, a panel including researchers and D&I professionals from the public and private sector will reflect on the research findings and recommendations, and share concrete examples of how organizations can build inclusive environments. Connect with fellow attendees over coffee and tea, fostering meaningful relationships with like-minded individuals committed to driving positive change in their respective organizations. Join us in this critical dialogue to make a difference and foster a workplace where everyone can belong and bring their authentic selves.

• Panel Discussion with Diversity & Inclusion professionals and ERG representatives

An opportunity for informal conversation with attendees.

12:30 – 14:00 | Lunch in Small Composition
Gathering with keynote speakers, panel members, organizers, Workplace Pride representatives, and doctoral researchers.

14:00 – 17:00 | Small-Group Research Meeting
Interactive exchange between keynote speaker, PhD students, and supervisors:

• Doctoral project presentations and feedback
• Brainstorming on future research and collaboration
• Short walk in the Leiden University Botanical Gardens (weather permitting)

17:00 – 20:00 | Closing Drinks & Dinner
Concluding the day with networking, reflection, and community building.
