Response to Covid 19

28 March 2020

In light of current events surrounding the global COVID-19 Virus pandemic, we wanted to give you an update on Workplace Pride’s activities for the coming months.

The first priority for everyone is to stay safe and to heed the advice of the authorities, wherever you live.

Simultaneously, we feel it is more important than ever that the voices of the LGBTI community in workplaces around the world continue to be heard in this challenging time and that they are not drowned out or even forgotten. For this reason, Workplace Pride will continue to work with our members and adapt to this situation as best as possible.

The Global Benchmark

The published deadline for the Global Benchmark of the 31st of March is quickly approaching. While several members have already completed the survey, we, of course, understand that it may be more difficult to gather the information or evidence required to finish the Benchmark by the deadline.

We are therefore extending the deadline until April 30th. While we will strive to provide survey results by the end of June, there may be a delay in this as well.

The Workplace Pride International Conference

Although the date has been set for June 19th, we are closely appraising the situation and already planning contingencies in the event of Workplace Pride having to postpone or restructure the Conference.

In the event of a postponement or change in format, we will inform you of the details as soon as possible.

In closing, we would like to encourage everyone to keep focused on the health and safety of others, mainly by focusing on your own as well! It is also important to remember that our community is well experienced with adversity and that Workplace Pride will continue to work regularly with our members and stakeholders during this challenging time.

Kind regards,

David Pollard
